| Every year,
Stewart Ranch hosts DAVID GENADEK'S SADDLE FITTING WORKSHOP. David is a
Master Saddle Maker who has spent over 25 years perfecting his craft. His company, About
the Horse, Inc., is a premier saddle design and manufacturing company, and produces barrel
racing, trail riding, reining and roping saddles. About the Horse, Inc. returns to the
basic anatomy of the horse for saddle design and fit. David's goal is to continue
educating himself and others in the complex process of fitting saddles to horses and their
riders. |

| In David
Genadek's Saddle Fitting Workshop, attendees learn the history of saddle styles
and how they have evolved into today's "english" and "western"
saddles. David also talks about balancing the seat of his western saddles, and his special
trees that are made to fit the rib cage of the horse. |

| David demonstrates
how to place and secure the saddle without pain for the horse. He also teaches attendees
how to properly choose padding for a more comfortable fit and educates them on how the
rider's position in the saddle affects the way the saddle fits the horse. |

| Stewart
Ranch also hosts workshops for body work and hoof trimming. MARK JELDNESS
offers his BAREFOOT TRIM WORKSHOP, which includes a lecture and
demonstration as well as trims and evaluations. Mark has studied under Pete Ramey, whose
approach to trimming is to preserve the horse's comfort while transitioning from shoes.
The clinic is designed for horse owners who possess basic trim knowledge but seek to
refine their skills, as well as for those who want a better understanding of their horse's
hooves. Mark is a member of the American Association of Natural Hoof Care Practitioners
(AANHCP), which is dedicated to the promotion of humane, natural hoof care based on the
research and findings of wild, free-roaming equines. |
| In Mark
Jeldness' Barefoot Trim Workshop, a crowd gathers to learn how important a
natural trim is for the proper function of the hoof. The importance of heel first landings
and how to recognize a good trim are also emphasized. |

| Some people are given
new skills in their trimming technique, while others learn how to use the rasp in between
normally scheduled trims to keep flares down. |

| ROSS JACOBS and MICHELE
JEDLICKA from Australia present their GOOD HORSEMANSHIP INSTRUCTION
every year on their way home from visiting with Harry Whitney for the winter. Ross and
Michèle have an established and successful business starting and re-educating horses for
people interested in all forms of equine pursuit, from trail and pleasure riding to show
jumping and advanced dressage. Additionally, they work with people who are struggling with
problems their horses present. Ross and Michèle travel throughout Australia teaching
horsemanship and riding clinics. |

| Ross Jacobs and Michèle
Jedlicka have a lot of interesting thoughts and ideas for helping participants
with different issues. |

| It is the ability to
understand life from the horse's point of view that has made Ross and Michèle popular
among horse owners who are looking for a willing partnership with their horses. |
